Baby joy for Boyzone Ronan
Ronan Keating: Baby Jack was due on his 22nd birthday
Boyzone singer Ronan Keating has become the father of a baby boy.
His wife Yvonne, 25, gave birth to their first son, Jack, weighing 10lbs 4oz, at Mount Carmel Hospital, Dublin, at 1645 GMT on Monday. Keating - who also hosts BBC One's talent show Get Your Act Together - said in a statement: "Both mum and baby are both healthy and strong, a wee bit tired but very happy." The baby was due on 3 March - Ronan's 22nd birthday. Ronan and Yvonne, a model, married in the Caribbean last year after a short romance. They had previously been friends for many years. Boyzone are currently at number one in the UK with When The Going Gets Tough, a cover version of the 1980s Billy Ocean song, which was recorded for the Comic Relief charity appeal. It is only the second record this year to stay at number one for more than one week. |
