S Club have said there was no acrimony in their split
|
Pop group S Club stormed out of a BBC interview after being asked about the amount of money they have made.
Four members of the band, who announced last month they were splitting up, were appearing on BBC Three's Liquid News on Thursday.
The mood turned sour when presenter Claudia Winkleman asked them about the alleged discrepancy between what the group earned and what they personally were paid.
At this point a promotions person walked on the set and halted the interview.
The woman said: "Can you not talk about that please? I am not having that question asked. I tried to stop the interview; I've had to walk in here. We're going."
As they walked, Mcintosh said: "In five years this is the first time that
this has happened."
No one from the group or promoters was available for comment on Thursday evening.
