Liv Tyler ties the knot

Liv Tyler is the daughter of Aerosmith's Steve Tyler

Hollywood actress Liv Tyler has married her long-term boyfriend, singer Royston Langdon.

The couple took their vows in a private ceremony at a villa in the Caribbean on 25 March, Tyler's publicist said on Wednesday.

Tyler, 25, whose films include Lord of the Rings and Stealing Beauty, and Langdon, 30, lead singer of Spacehog, have been together for three years.

Tyler is the daughter of another rock singer, Aerosmith frontman Steve Tyler. Her mother is former model Bebe Buell.

Langdon lives in the US but was born in Leeds, Yorkshire in the north of England.

The secluded wedding ceremony will be followed by a small reception for family and friends next month in New York, where the couple live.

Tyler, who plays the elf Arwen in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, has also appeared in films such as Armageddon, Inventing the Abbotts and That Thing You Do.

She started out as a model in her teens but turned to acting after a year.

She was offered a part in Heavy and shortly after landed a role in Silent Fall.

Her acting career was consolidated with parts in seven films between 1993 and 1996.

Langdon moved to New York at the age of 19 to live with his brother Anthony, now also a member of Spacehog.

The band formed in 1994, and their hits include the single In the Meantime and the album Resident Alien.

This summer, Langdon is also launching a solo career.
