Actor Conrad in drink-drive arrest
US television actor Robert Conrad has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after he was involved in a car crash.

The star of TV series Baa Baa Black Sheep and The Wild Wild West crashed his 1995 Jaguar while driving in the Sierra foothills in northern California.

The accident happened at about 1915 GMT on Monday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Officer Bryan Duquesnel said the results of Conrad's blood-alcohol test were not yet available.

"But since there are injuries to another person, at this particular time, it is being considered a felony," he added.

Stable

The driver of the other vehicle, Kevin Burnett, 26, suffered multiple fractures to his left leg.

He was taken to a hospital in Modesto, about 60 miles southwest of the accident, where he underwent surgery on Tuesday.

Hospital officials say he is in a stable condition.

Conrad was taken by helicopter to another Modesto hospital.

"I understand that he's stable," said his spokeswoman Donna Gaba.

Conrad has appeared in dozens of TV shows and movies.

He is probably best known for his role as James T West in the 1960s series The Wild Wild West and fighter pilot squad commander Pappy Boyington in the 1970s series Baa Baa Black Sheep.
