Fresh from dominating the Grammy awards, singer Norah Jones has been confirmed as one of the highlights of the Montreal Jazz Festival.
Grammy winner Jones is the daughter of musician Ravi Shankar
The Canadian festival is one of the most prestigious music events of the year and runs from 26 June to 6 July.
The rise of Norah Jones has been hailed as one of music's great success stories.
She swept the recent Grammys, winning eight awards for her debut album.
Other artists confirmed for the festival include Mark Knopfler, Ray Charles and folk-rock singer Ben Harper.
Jones will perform on 2 July, while rhythm-and-blues veteran Ray Charles and his big band appear on 26 June.
Last year's Montreal Jazz Festival drew two million music fans to the mainly French-speaking city of 3.5 million people.
Other performers booked this year include saxophonist Wayne Shorter, who will be accompanied by Danilo Perez, Brian Blades and John Patitucci.
Bassist Dave Holland's big band will also perform, as well as trumpeter Roy Hargrove and Joe Zawinul, keyboardist and former leader of Weather Report, the 1970s supergroup.
