Rise presenters to reunite
Edith Bowman

Colin Murray and Edith Bowman, who worked together on Channel 4's ailing Rise, are to front a BBC Radio 1 show.

Murray left Channel 4's daily morning show last year and Bowman is due to leave soon.

From 29 March the pair will front the BBC Radio 1 Saturday morning slot currently filled by Scott Mills.

Neither are new to radio - Murray is currently presenting an evening show for BBC Radio 1 while Bowman has fronted a show for London station Capital FM with her friend Cat Deeley.

"Colin and Edith are both massive music fans and gig fanatics and will front a show featuring great new music, competitive banter and a healthy dose of filthy gossip," said a BBC Radio 1 spokesman.

Bowman said it was a "childhood dream" to work at BBC Radio 1. "To say we're a little bit excited is an understatement," she added.
