J-Lo's divorce nears conclusion
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck
Jennifer Lopez is now free to marry her fiance Ben Affleck
Jennifer Lopez's divorce from her second husband Cris Judd will become final at the weekend.

Court documents in Los Angeles said the actress and singer's seven-month marriage to dancer Judd will be legally dissolved on Sunday.

It will leave the star free to marry her fiance, actor Ben Affleck.

Lopez and Judd married on 29 September, 2001, but split the next year.

Lopez filed for divorce seven months ago.

She met Judd when he appeared in the video to her single Love Don't Cost A Thing.

He is expected to get a $15m (9.6m) settlement from the divorce.

Court papers showed the couple would pay their own legal fees.

The divorce will be Lopez's second. She was married to Cuban-born waiter Ojani Noa, but was divorced from him in 1997.

Lopez started dating Affleck when they met on the set of the film Gigli last year, where she played a lesbian hit woman.

Their relationship become public soon after.

Lopez says Affleck has the same background as her

In November last year, Lopez announced on a TV show that the couple would marry as soon as her divorce was finalised.

"We're probably more alike and from the same kind of background and, you know, same kind of upbringing and same kind of family and same kind of house," Lopez said about Affleck recently.

Lopez was in a relationship with rap star Sean "P Diddy" Combs, then known as Puff Daddy.

She left him during his trial for gun charges relating to an incident in a New York nightclub in 1999.

Affleck has never been married, but he did have a long relationship with actress Gwyneth Paltrow.
