Goldie evicted from Big Brother
Goldie
Goldie received four votes from his fellow contestants
Another two contestants are to be nominated for eviction from Celebrity Big Brother on Monday, after Goldie became the first to be booted out on Sunday.

Goldie said "it was either first or last for me" as he left the latest celebrity version of the Channel 4 reality programme.

The 37-year-old drum'n'bass DJ was greeted by his wife, fashion designer Sonja Ashby, and appeared glad to be back in the outside world.

Goldie was nominated for eviction from the Channel 4 reality show alongside former Family Fortunes presenter Les Dennis.

Bookmakers had made Dennis odds-on favourite to go.

The six contestants - Les Dennis, Melinda Messenger, Goldie, Sue Perkins, Mark Owen and Anne Diamond - have been living in the purpose-built house since Wednesday.

The DJ admitted that he had bonded the most with Dennis.

"There are a lot of characters in the house but Les is a diamond, not Anne, but Les."

He said the two had cemented their friendship after Goldie and Dennis had tried to explain a street term, "cutting your head off", to Owen and Diamond.

Positive

"You cannot buy that, it was brilliant. I need people to be funny with," he sad that.

Dennis's wife, actress Amanda Holden, said "I'm really relieved, I was more nervous than I thought I would be.

"I don't mind when Les comes out now, I just think he's done fantastically."

Goldie also had positive things to say about former-Take That star Owen.

"I'm very anti-pop but the thoughts I picked up from Mark were pretty cool," he said.

He said he had been wary of Diamond because he found older women difficult to trust.

But he was not impressed with glamour model Messenger and said: "I really hope that Les gets Melinda off."

Former glamour model Messenger said she had voted for Goldie because "I don't think he likes me. He's the only one I feel friction with."

Goldie had picked up the most nominations with four of the housemates voting against him.

Owen, 30, was the only celebrity not to receive a single nomination.

The contestants are spending up to 10 days in the house, cut off from the outside world and without luxuries.

The finale of the show will be staged on 29 November when the winner will be announced.

This celebrity version of the summer ratings hit show is the second, and has been extremely popular, with over 7m viewers tuning in to the unveiling of the contestants on Wednesday.

Money raised from the programme goes to charities.
