Star Wars DVD has November debut
Star Wars Attack Of The Clones
Attack Of The Clones is one of the biggest films of the year
Star Wars Episode II is to make its DVD and video debut in the UK on 11 November - a day before it is released anywhere else in the world.

American viewers will have to wait until 12 November before they can buy a copy of Attack Of The Clones, which will be available as a two-disc DVD set or a special edition video.

Attack Of The Clones, the second episode in the six-part Star Wars saga and follow-up to 1999's The Phantom Menace, was released in cinemas in May this year.

The blockbuster, directed by George Lucas, stars Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, Samuel L Jackson and newcomer Hayden Christensen as Jedi knight Anakin Skywalker.

It has made over 37m in the UK and $297m (186m) in the US since its release.

The DVD will feature commentary from Lucas and producer Rick McCallum, as well as sound designer Ben Burtt and a number of visual effects supervisors from Lucas' effects company Industrial Light And Magic.

The disc will also include eight deleted scenes from the film, each introduced by Lucas, McCallum and Burtt.

Other highlights will include a number of documentaries and short features about the Star Wars phenomenon and the making of Attack Of The Clones.

Meanwhile, the video release of the film will include six deleted scenes and a documentary hosted by Star Wars characters C3-PO and R2-D2.

Both DVD and video will be available to pre-order from September.
