Gran Turismo Concept: Your views
GT Concept
Is GT Concept an improvement?
The Gran Turismo series of games are renowned as the definitive racing titles.

Sony have now launched Grand Turismo Concept, putting even more fabulous sports cars at your fingertips.

"The game recreates that sense of speed and daring needed to make a racing game come alive," wrote BBC News Online's Darren Waters.

But what do you think?

Is it a worthy addition to the GT franchise? Is there enough depth to satisfy the expert driver?

I got the game yesterday, and 2-3 hours of play later I have more or less completed it! It just doesn't have any longevity. Having said that, some of the new cars are alright, and the 10 million credits for GT3 will come in very handy, and the driving model is excellent. But nowhere near as good as the real thing, bring on GT4!
Paul, UK

I personally think it's an excellent addition to the franchise, and I applaud the makers for bringing out a version of the game that allows you to have a life while playing one of the greatest games ever.

This has been touted as "GT Lite" by many reviewers, and I think that this is the case, having only 12 tracks. I got it on Friday, and I haven't been able to put it down. I could not say the same for its predecessor. If you want a game that you can pick up and play with little effort, go and get it now!!!
Micheal Brown, England

Gran Turismo 1 and 2 were the best racers of their time. They have been surpassed by MSR on the Dreamcast and its sequel project Gotham on the X-box. Pure fun in a can.
Danny Austin, UK

I fear this adds nothing to the existing franchise.
Shaun, UK

A bit shallow, won't appeal to the hardened GT fan for whom the Arcade mode holds no interest... roll on a proper GT4.
Stu, UK

More of the same, not what we were promised for the new consoles...ho hum. But the media and magazines will hype it and gullibles will eat it up.
Bob, Eire

GT concept is great, a little short but then it was never advertised as a GT4, just a stop gap. It's still the definitive racing title and is enjoyable...bring on GT4.
Bill, UK

I think that this is an important game, not so much for its content (which, if GT3 was anything to go by, will be excellent) but for its price. In the same month that a new survey showed that piracy is on the rise and linked this to the price of games, that someone can get a top class title for less than 25 is to be applauded. I am all for publishers and developers adding to a triple A title by bringing out reasonably priced add ons such as GT Concept.
John, Reading, UK

A good game for GT first timers, but anyone who's spent any time with GT3 will find it a bit repetitive, and a bit easy - I completed it within two days, but GT3 is still going strong after two years. Definitely one to rent before purchasing.
Phil Huff, England
