Brosnan to star in video game

The new game will be released in November

Video game players will soon be able to see the world through Pierce Brosnan's eyes.

Brosnan has become the first Bond actor to allow his likeness to be used in an electronic game.

NightFire is based on the 007 stories, and allows players to take up the role of the famous spy.

The interactive game features an original storyline with 10 exotic locations. There is also a range of villains, allies and sexy Bond women.

Its release is scheduled to coincide with the opening of the next 007 film, Die Another Day.

"We're excited to have Pierce aboard to help deliver to fans the ultimate Bond experience," said Chip Lange, Vice President of Electronic Arts marketing.

Each of the mission levels will offer enormous, highly detailed 3D environments that can only be experienced through the eyes of Bond.

Long history

James Bond was first introduced to movie audiences in 1962 with the release of Dr No.

The 20th film in the series, Die Another Day, is currently in production and scheduled to debut nationwide on 22 November.

It will be the fourth Bond film with Pierce Brosnan in the role of the slick secret service agent.

Die Another Day was due to be Brosnan's last Bond film in the title role, but he recently signed up to make one more movie.
