Sir Nigel Hawthorne's autobiography: Your views
Sir Nigel in the role of King Lear
Sir Nigel Hawthorne was knighted in 1999
UK actor Sir Nigel Hawthorne only completed his autobiography, Straight Face, a few days before he died in December 2001.

The book follows the peaks and troughs of his career and begins with his difficult childhood in South Africa.

"It is clear that Sir Nigel had an ability to touch people's emotional depths both on stage and away from it, not least in this book," says the BBC's Michael Hubbard.

But what do you think?

Is it a moving account? Is it as revealing as you had hoped?

Have your say
