My Music: Siouxsie and the Banshees
Siouxsie
Siouxsie leads the Banshees on a new tour
Siouxsie and the Banshees have hit the road for the first time since 1995 for their Seven Year Itch Tour.

The band - formed in 1976 - have an impressive track record of 18 UK Top 40 hits, including Peek-A-Boo, Hong Kong Garden and Kiss Them For Me.

Drummer Budgie took time out to tell us about his musical tastes.

Which song from the last 12 months do you think is likely to gain classic status?

Spread Your Love by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club

If you organised a rock festival, which acts would you invite?

My dream line-up would be The Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Doors with Jim Morrison, T Rex with Marc Bolan and Nirvana with Kurt Cobain.
For a live festival, I would choose The Kodo Drummers, Can, Kraftwerk, eX-Girl and the Von Bondies.

Which album did you most recently buy?

I by Buffalo Daughters

What's your opinion of Marilyn Manson, who has been called a goth?

I think he's a misplaced/misunderstood pop star.

Which new acts impress you?

eX-Girl from Toyko, Japan, via Planet Kero Kero

If you had to be part of any other existing band, which one would you choose?

The Kodo Drummers of Sado Island in Japan.

Which song by another artist do you wish you had written?

Sign O' The Times by Prince or Symphony No 5 by Dmitri Shostakovich.

Which - if any - songs do you sing in the shower?

The Sabre Dance by Aram Khachaturian.

Where do you most like listening to music and why?

In Los Angeles in a rented Lincoln Town Car, because even rubbish sounds good in "La La Land".

What do you think about the state of the charts?

Too much bad choreography and karaoke. The occasional flash of brilliance. Nothing changes.

Which music websites do you visit regularly?

www.thecreatures.com
