Big Brother's Jade: Harsh or fair?
Jade: how will it be for her when she leaves?
Big Brother 3 contestant Jade Goody, a dental nurse from Bermondsey, south London has had her fair share of insults since she entered the Big Brother house.
Press and public alike seem to have taken exception to the 21-year-old, who is renowned for her honest opinions and bitchy behaviour. Her mother has expressed fears over the treatment her daughter will receive from the public if she is evicted. But what do you think? This debate is now closed. You can read a selection of your comments below.
Jade is a very streetwise young lady. I can't believe that someone who is 21 and comes from the sort of background that she does can be that naive to not remember that she is being filmed. I do not agree with the witch-hunt nor the nasty comments made, but Jade is not as stupid as we want to believe.
I don't think the comments are fair at all. Jade is a nice girl, and she might be dumb, but that's not her fault. Vote out evil PJ.
I thought Jade was a cow at first but now she has seemed to calmed down a bit and is just trying to enjoy herself. I think the public and the press should give her another chance.
Sock it to them Jade, at least we can see the real you, not like the others, so from me, I hope you win. Keep your chin up, just be you and laugh at them all.
Natalie, England
Jade is the most annoying person left in the house, she has a really bad attitude to just about everyone. She talks just for the sake of talking, and most of the time she spouts a load of rubbish that no-one is interested in listening to. I now find myself switching channels just to avoid her voice which totally grates on my nerves. Jade needs the boot as soon as possible, she really is the most irritating person I have ever seen on TV. She really gets on my wick.
I think Jade has been a real bitch whilst in the house. She has slagged anyone and everyone off, and is really starting to annoy the remaining housemates and the public alike. Whether she is playing to the cameras or not, her behaviour is awful. Although she deserves whatever boos she may get when evicted, the slander and "kill the pig" signs take the TV programme just slightly too far!
I firmly believe that it is not C4's portrayal of Jade that is the problem. She has repeatedly shown herself to be rude, ignorant, manipulative, abrasive and generally an unpleasant character. I hope that people watching Big Brother can identify similar faults in their own personalities, and make themselves aware that the rest of the world do not find them particularly attractive. So hopefully some good can come out of this as people become nicer to their colleagues
etc. Somehow, I doubt it. My faith in this nation is not as strong as the country's morbid fascination with a game show.
Big Dan, UK
The media hype around Jade is truly scary. How can a national newspaper like the Sun be allowed to describe her as "The Pig" and encourage people to vote "the pig" out? They have played an instrumental role in dehumanising her, and people fuelled by hatred of her ignorance and backbiting are being carried along by the press. I hope that Jade sues the press when she comes out of the house. She is human and deserves to be treated with respect.
I think anyone would need to have a heart of stone not to feel sorry for the horrible experience in store for Jade when she comes out. It may be fun to hate her, but some comments made about her intellect and appearance will probably stay with her for the rest of her life. It's like being bullied by a whole nation ...of "adults". She is far from perfect, but the media are being unduly vicious, only because they can be.
It's impossible not to take seriously the fact that someone as stupid as Jade could stand to make tens of thousands of pounds more than a doctor or fireman or nurse makes in a year for being bitchy and irritating on national TV.....but at least as long as she stays in the house you always know when to switch off the telly....when she gets out, she'll be all over the place getting paid even more for being a "national celebrity/treasure". Aaaagh!
Grandok, Scotland
Choosing Jade as a housemate was irresponsible of the producers. What did they expect from someone from such a horrible childhood, with little education or knowledge about the world, except for her to make a fool of herself on camera? It was a low and lazy swipe.
I think that it's great that Jade has got the courage to speak out about her true opinions in front of the whole nation. She has let go of any masks that one may have when they feel that they are being watched by practically everyone and act nice and in a way that is socially acceptable. She has had trhe courage to truly be herself and no-one should condemn her to that.
Sure, everyone is allowed their own opinions and if you don't like her, then that's just it, you don't like her. But it's absolutely nasty that the press have started such a public vendetta against her. Imagine how she's gonna feel when she comes out of the house? She's going to be condemned by everyone and called names for who knows how long. That's a pretty horrible atmosphere to live in and that is what she is going to have to do - live when she gets out of that house. So cut her some slack!!!
If you go on Big Brother, you are aware that you will be shown on TV 24 hours a day and that your behaviour, looks, beliefs, etc. will be criticised. People are reacting to criticism of Jade as if she was just a normal person going about her life. She is not. She is someone who has voluntarily exposed herself (in every sense) to the entire nation. I am a massive Big Brother fan, but those who go on it and their fans should realise that this is par for the course. If you don't want this sort of criticism, you don't go on the programme in the first place.
Amanda, Wales
Jade is not the innocent she is making out to be. She quickly adopted the baby role and is playing up to the cameras with her stupid quotes. Brian and Helen from BB2 both had "catchphrases" as did Paul, this might be setting up a franchise. Housemates on the inside have caught on to "chipstick". She is a dental nurse, she must be fairly smart. I work in schools and many 12-14 year olds would be embarrassed to be reminded of things they have said which sound nothing near as stupid as her gaffs. Perhaps she is trying to emulate the success of BB2's Helan, who has done very well for herself post-Big Bro. Jade's mask will slip.
Jade should have known that this kind of attention would be given to her for acting so thick! No-one can honestly be that thick, she wants the attention really, she can't honestly think she'll win the £70,000! I think she's cool for accepting the fact she ain't as skinny as the rest of the housemates.
The Sun is written for fools who haven't the intelligence to understand how they can destroy the life of a young woman. The people who write such things are not fit to be in such a responsible position. I don't think Jade will come out of this well at all. There are a lot of sicko nutters out there unfortunately and her portrayal by Big Brother has made her an easy and naive target. I cannot imagine how Jade felt when she heard those pathetic jibes about her weight - she is a vulnerable, easily led person, which is no crime but someone like that should never have been selected for such intense public scrutiny.
I don't see how Big Brother can make the situation better, I think she is safer in the house than she will be on the outside for a very long time. For her sake I hope her family have suitable plans for her for when she leaves - in particular a lawsuit...
Although she should have been aware of the likely repercussions of her appearance before going in, and I'm not convinced she is mature enough to think it through - something those making the show should perhaps have realised - the level of spite is unmerited and if she escapes from this experience without severe trauma I shall be surprised. I would blame the press rather than the programme and hope the producers are responsible enough to stage manage the crowd on her exit to some extent.
The media whipped up a storm about Jade which she herself fuels with her banal behaviour. Then, I think certain folk - such as a well-known Channel 4 comedy talkshow host - thought it might be wise to offload a large amount of the venom onto Adele. The public are sheep for following the media wolves, and yes, "Kill the pig" banners are despicable, but we need to ask ourselves, where did this "pig" motif come from in the first place?
Poor Jade. No one deserves the reception which is awaiting her. The media has far too much power in this country.
Catherine, London, England
I think Jade - being of simple mind and thinking - is easily lead by others. Adele was especially guilty of leading Jade into talks about other housemates. I think Jade would befriend anyone who showed the slightest interest. She has given good entertainment value most of us would admit. Her looks should not be critised - or anyone elses for that matter. Not everyone has model features. I think people are very childish and small-minded when they pick on peoples' looks.
I came to the conclusion that, just being an onlooker, makes certain things about Jade and also others quite irritating, because one is not able to confront and handle situations in person. It needs a bit of strength to be amongst that lot in order to confront, handle and survive. Watching the programme, one only can observe and not act, which - in my mind - leads to criticism.
I do not know what the Sun printed, I do not care! If this was the only paper to be had, I still would not buy it.
For god's sake, it's only a TV show. I personally don't watch it anymore due to the poor production quality now involved courtesy of C4. How can anyone want to kill another person on the grounds she's edited by C4 to look bad?
Everyone should calm down and behave, how on earth will she feel to see signs etc saying she's worthy of death? Some people need to find a better hobby in life and a more worthy cause to warrant such zealous behaviour.
Rebecca, USA
People have to remember that this sort of bitching behaviour goes on in every walk of life everyday and it is only being scrutinised now as it is on television. I think in all honesty that whoever leaves tonight will be overwhelmed by the dislike felt by the general public and why? It is only a game show, they haven't committed any offence, people have to separate television and reality!
I've never watched any of the Big Brother programmes - I find something totally distasteful and sad about the whole concept. It's impossible to avoid the dreadful media attention that this poor girl is getting, however. If she were classically pretty or conformed to some stereotype of female character - the press would leave her alone. I think the programme makers have intentionally chosen a vulnerable peerson to up the ratings with the sick, ghastly people who have so little life of their own - they have to watch some trash like this. The worst pasrt of it all is the cruel delight so many viewers seem to take in rubbishing a girl for not being (as they see it) feminine, pretty or smart.
The only people who make me sick are the viewers.
She's a disgrace! Thick and embarrassing! She couldn't even spell "station"!! I think her mum has every cause to be concerned for her - but not how she'll be treated once she gets evicted, but rather if she has any brain cells in her head!
Lauren, England
I think the press coverage of Jade has gone way too far; to describe a 21-year-old young woman as public enemy number one is outrageous. I think The Sun should be ashamed of itself for such jeuvenile and spiteful reporting. If Channel 4 allow her to come out to a lynch mob because of a game show that would be appalling. I don't believe her behaviour warrants all the furore, there seem to be an awful lot of people who have never done anything wrong in their lives, and are very willing to cast the first stone.
Although I think that Jade will be very upset by the public perception of her, I think it might do her some good. She is a playground bully who has never grown up. Perhaps her experience in the house will show her the error of her ways and she might grow up a bit.
Jade is getting all she deserves, she is annoying, and her voice alone is enough to make you want to slap her!!
It's not where she comes from that is the issue. We only know her by what she says and what she does. Neither of which are very pleasant....sorry Jade, I know you have feelings but so does everyone else!
Adam, UK
I am amazed that Channel 4 have allowed Jade onto the programme - there is so much about her that is truely disturbing - her obviously manufactured stupidity, her desperate need to be loved and that awful between-the-sheets grope with PJ, which was so sinister.
This kid needs help and I am sure that C4 are becoming aware of just how messed up she is and are very worried indeed that she will react badly to her eviction - if she does something stupid upon leaving, C4 will have to answer for their actions.
I think everyone is taking it all too far. Jade doesn't really mean anyone any harm and apart from when she was nasty to Sophie she has only done what everyone in past years has done: Backstab. We just see more of it from her than others.
I am worried about how she will react when she comes out of the house because every element of her has been slated by the press and public. I feel sorry for her and she should be given a break.
OK here is how I see it, Jade is only just 21 - hardly an adult. She has the confidence to have a less than perfect figure and still act gorgeous. It is unfortunate that she is not the brightest of people, but that is no reason to pick on her, there are millions of people with less inteligence, and those are probably the ones against her.
It is totally abominal that the press and public are so ruthless towards her. Put yourself in her place, how would you feel?
Jade is a naive fool, but nobody deserves what will probably become a very public destruction of their being. How can people take this so seriously? How can the media enjoy doing this to somebody?
I think that the Channel 4 producers have a lot to answer for really . They have hours of coverage to select the "soundbites" for the shallow British public to see. Jade could have qualified every bitchy remark with a compliment but that wouldn't make particularly startling viewing for the bloodthirsty public
She has been a little madam from day one, it is her personality which is the problem, not where she comes from.
Jade deserves all the bad press that she receives - it wouldn't matter if she was from Chelsea and behaved the same way. That amount of petty back stabbing and bitching was always going to catch up with her in the end.
This series of Big Brother is much nastier and bitchier. The production company is encouraging squabbles and rifts in the house - what with splitting the house in two and plying the housemates with free drink in the hope of drunken rows taking place. Jade hasn't proved herself to be a particularly nice person but I think it's disgusting if Channel 4 let her come out to walk past a lynch mob. Banners with "Kill the pig" on them?? Channel 4 should not encourage that sort of abusive behaviour. Let's remember that it's only a TV programme.
"You get what you deserve" and she deserves all the negative attention.
Jade has brought a lot of the treatment she has received on herself! I think she should really think about what she says before she opens her mouth. Anyone who thinks East Anglia is abroad is asking for trouble, don't you think?!!!!
At the end of the day it is just fun and it shouldn't be taken seriously. Also I want to see fireworks and I want to see drama because that is the whole point of the show. If they picked wholesome characters BB would be the most boring programme in the world.
G Ford, England
She's not going to want to leave because she is going to get a grilling. Shame really, but that's how narrow-minded the British public is.
It's only a game! Jade is just doing what other people do every day! Bitching. Face it, there's nothing else to do in the house! Adele should be out, she's the devious one!
At the end of the day all the contestants who are bitchy behind people's backs are pretty stupid to forget that there are seven million people watching, so all their comments will come back to haunt them. Although I think Jade has had a bad press at the end of the day, Adele has been far more malicious, Jade is just naive and not calculating like Adele. Makes great TV though!
Lisa, England
She is being treated fairly - she is stupid. Stupid people going on to TV 24 hours a day should expect the public to see her as stupid
Personally I think she's going to be out because of the way that she was bitching about Sophie all the time and she would never give Sophie a chance. I think she also tries too hard and is always putting on an act, I think that she's a put on.
Jade is too stupid to be devious, but Adele knows exactly what she is doing and is well dodgy!! Leave Jade in, she has learned her lesson, let's teach Adele and Alex that they are not as clever as they think!! Alex will do better without Adele as she is pulling him down to her level. BRING BACK SPENCER!
I have disliked Jade from the outset firstly because of her non-stop chattering, whinging and attention-seeking and lately for her constant bitchiness and two-faced comments about the other housemates. However I feel that press and media comments have been carried too far and share her mother's concern about her treatment on the outside. I still say vote her out though!!
Stephen House, England, Bristol
If you're going to be egotistical enough to sign yourself up for a show like Big Brother, you have to expect people to comment on aspects of your character not normally seen by people that actually know you. Them's the breaks, kiddo.
She is definately being singled out for who she is, the immature member of the house without the wit to recognise it, but anybody outside the house who thinks she deserves anything more than eviction should seek professional help.
Taking something like Big Brother so seriously is not only pathetic, but exposes an inability from the person in question to separate reality from entertainment.
Contestants must be prepared for negative feedback, particularly when they behave as Jade has done. She's young and silly but ultimately brave putting herself through this. Anyone who applies to go on the show must have an enlarged ego or something going on in their lives that needs changing. If you were happy and content with your lot it would never occur to you to go into the house. Jade will come through, however badly she's received and Davina will be nice to her. If she wins however I shall have to go and gargle some bleach.
Maureen, Scotland
I dont understand what all the fuss about Jade is. So what if she slags everybody off, that's the whole point of the show isnt it? For people to be themselves, at least she doesn't pretend to be any different. Unlike Adele who is the one that is really dragging them all down, look how she's turned Alex into a paranoid old woman!
Also, I feel that by basically pulling Jade to one side and telling her to be nice and stop drinking, Big Brother has broken its own golden rules about contact with the outside world, and ruined the entire show. Ever since then Jade has said nothing, it's as if Channel 4 have gagged her. Why put people in a "fish bowl" to see how they react, to then stop them from being themselves? For me, Channel 4 have made a farce of the entire show by doing so, they might as well just let them watch the TV and read the newspapers.
Jade has brought a lot of it on herself but I still think the press have gone to far.
I think Jade is simply a misguided easily led immature 21-year-old, Adele on the other hand is very, very devious and I do not trust her.
Dave, London, UK
Although Jade is clearly naive and immature in her comments and behaviour, she doesn't deserve what will undoubtedly be a very rough ride when she is evicted. If this turns out to be tonight, she will be extremely distressed. Although she has an idea of how the public thinks from crowds calling from outside, the depth of feeling outside the house will cause her a lot of unecessary upset
I think the press view of Jade has on the whole been fairly accurate. You can't be that thick, and downright bitchy day after day like she is! Obviously the whole BB process of selecting the right people for this show has suffered greatly. After all most people in there are youngsters, there should have been a wider variety of people.
I think the treatment she has received is completely justified. The excuse "it's how C4 portray me" cannot be used because of the live streaming on E4 and the internet. It's very shallow to pick on her looks but maybe that's all they've got.
Mike, UK
Channel 4 must bear responsibility for the distasteful orchestration of the media reaction to the young adult. Clearly, the programme is cleverly edited to promote reactions and get viewers and earn money. I don't know if Jade will be damaged by the reaction to how she has been portrayed - but if she is vulnerable then Channel 4 need to pay for appropriate support. In my view it is irresponsible television.
I think the press have treated Jade appallingly. Jibes about her looks ad her intelligence. It's only a gameshow and people are now taking it far too seriously, too a point where BB are worried about Jade's safety when she leaves. It's ludicrous.
I think it's disgraceful the way the press not only treat Jade but most people. There should be major law changes in this country to stop this. The press run this country, not the government. Jade has been bitchy in the show and I can understand her being unpopular with viewers but messages such as "kill the pig" are bang out of order.
It is the usual media witchhunt, which is distasteful as it is that of a young woman - the behaviour is no different to that seen in workplaces, in schools, colleages and universities around the country by people of ALL ages. She is certainly young, naive and immature, however, to my knowledge this is not a criminal offence. Under the extraordinary scrutiny and pressure of the BB house, I'm amazed the behaviour we have seen has been no more than the ordinary.
I think it's gone well over the top. All the housemates have been bitching about each other, Jades is being singled out because she's so annoying. But nobody deserves what the press and mob have been doing to her. It just shows what sheep the majority of Britain are. Get Adele out, she's the manipulative one.
I think Jade has got too much bad press, she's not worldly-wise and was led on and used to an extent by Adele. I hope she doesn't get a bad reception when she comes out she's only a kid at heart and it's not her fault she's not very bright.
Jade is one of those people who just can't help the way she is. I don't think the public should treat her badly as she's been great entertainment. The house would have been boring without her.
OK, so Jade makes last year's Helen sound like a brain surgeon, but that's no reason to wish physical violence on the poor kid. She's 21 for pity's sake, and she just wants to fit in with the group in the only way she knows how. Her mother's right to be concerned - especially if there are lunatics out there with specially made "kill the pig" banners roaming loose in our society....
She is more than bitchy, dishonest and she takes the fool of every person in the house.
She will receive the treatment which she deserves.
Channel 4 have been working overtime to try and turn the tide against Jade and deflect onto Adele. If Adele receives the same sort of treatment expected for Jade, Big Brother can only blame themselves. I think I smell a lawsuit.
Anybody who wishes to go on Big Brother deserves all the flak that comes their way. Jade is an unbelievably stupid sack of uselessness, and it is perfectly normal to not want to see or hear her on one's television. But the rest of them are as bad - Alex is a pansy, PJ is full of it, Kate tries so hard to be cool that its unbelievable, and Adele is a manipulative horror. Can they all please leave and get some reasonable people on who have something interesting to say?
Channel 4's portrayal of Jade is extremely accurate. Anyone who watches the live coverage on E4 will know that the edited highlights shown on Channel 4 are an accurate portrayal of how she really behaves. If anyone is responsible for the public's hatred of her it is Jade herself! Her behaviour in the house has been appalling and in my opinion she deserves every boo she gets when she is eventually evicted. I only wish I could be there in the crowd myself! I think the real cluprits in all this are the C4 producers. They are beyond doubt a nasty and evil bunch. True, the ratings are high but nothing justifies their nastiness. I seriously hope someone sues the show and its crowd of pompous psychologists.
Sophie, UK
I feel very sorry for Jade. She has had a tough time in her young life, and some of the things the tabloids and some people have been saying or writing about her is awful. Horrible remarks about her appearance, about her seeming lack of intelligence (I wouldn't have thought that it would take many brains to write for The Sun, so I don'think they should be knocking her intellect), her accent has been criticised, and virtually everything she does has been criticised. I feel really sorry for her, and I hope she wins.
I like Jade. She's natural. Most of my BB watching friends like her too. It's only the tabloid press who see her as a way to sell newspapers. Their comments are disgusting. But Jade can take heart from the fact she didn't get voted out last week, and will probably end up being a housemate the public "love to hate". At least she's more interesting than Tory Tim. Does he do anything other than love himself?
I think Jade isn't as honest as she is making out to be, I think she is a fraud and I don't believe anything that comes out her mouth. This is coming from an American that moved to England on April 11th 2002....
I think they've been to hard on her! She makes the show INTERESTING! This week PJ needs to go.
I love Jonny. I live in Newcastle too and I think Jade is great, I think she should keep being a bitch. It's great, she's well sorted.
Clare, Cambs
I think she is an abomination, I really despise her as does most people I know do. I can't wait till the day when she's evicted. I will throw a party.
However Jade has been portrayed by the press, that common accent and masculine voice still get on my nerves!! Get her out now or the hatred of her by what seems to be the majority of the UK will only get worse!!
I think everybody should just give Jade a break. With her it is what you see is what you get. When she gossips about somebody and cries it is an outrage but it's okay for the likes of Alex to do it and especially Kate sitting crying on the sofa trying to get Jonny and PJ (the rat) on her side and nobody notices or complains about that. Where's the justice?
Jade is really funny and I want her to stay on for another week. I want PJ out this week because I really like Kate and I want her to stay. I think she is really funny and she should win Big Brother (because a girl has never won Big Brother before). KATE TO WIN!!!!!!
Kirsty and Abbi, England
Jade is one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen.
I do not think Jade deserves the negative press she has recieved! We all bitch to some extent and being cooked up in the BB house 24/7 must eventually take its toll. For the press to say those damaging remarks is idiotic, she is a gullible naive young woman! I think she is entertaining, she always has a ready smile and has a wicked laugh! I hope she has the strength to deal with the all the crap she may recieve when she gets out!
I think Jade is quite sweet and seeing her decide she must get an education and so on as a result of being in the house is one of the most touching things I have ever seen. She has got some seriously contra-indicated social skills but she can grow out of those and I think there's more to her than that. People are forgetting that people can learn and change - Big Brother is about partly about youth - being in the house could change Jade's life.
BB's treatment of Jade is neither harsh nor fair. It is spot on. Do they treat her differently from the others? No. Jade agreed to be on the show. She is an adult and must accept some responsiblity for her actions and the outcome. I am sure that she was fully informed about the "dangers" and negative effects the show could have on her life. To quote her phrase "at the end of the day - she agreed to do this to herself.
Chris, Warrington
Anyone who is prepared to open their entire lives up to the general public deserves all they get. This girl is truly dumb, this is not a clever ruse, she is as thick as a freezer full of badgers. Jade is a prime example of the the appalling state of the UK education system. Still, in a cruel way she is highly entertaining, though it is highly likely Jade will be mentally scarred for life if that's possible, her stupidity is only rivalled by members of the Darwin awards. She is never going to win, Margaret Thatcher is more likely to be re-elected. I pity the poor souls that have to review the footage of Jade in anything else than underneath a duvet.
I think Jade is OK but a bit annoying. She talks a load of rubbish sometimes. But otherwise she's really nice as far as I can see.
I think she deserves another chance but PJ doesn't. Vote him out, he deserves to go!
I love BB, but I can't explain why I love it - it's like a car crash, you just can't take your eyes away! And as for Jade, well, I resent the fact that people assume that every young person is as thoughtless and naive as she is, I'm 19 and I would be ashamed of myself if I were to behave in that way. However, she isn't the only stupid person in the house, has anyone heard Tim make an intelligent comment, because for a supposed university graduate, he's had precious little to say of any use! Hopefully this will teach some of the housemates more about themselves and they can move on from this, possibly as better people. Alex to win - I only live round the corner from him!!!!
What concerns me is that so many people can be taken in by this low-brow rubbish. It says a lot more about the state of people's minds in this country than it does about the housemates. What concerns me is that it only takes one obsessed "fan" to take the headlines seriously for us to have a clearly documented case of someone having been murdered in the name of TV ratings and newspaper sales.
The red-top journalists and producers should consider this next time they want to put someone in this position. Reality television is a contradiction in terms, but if this sort of hysteria is anything to go by, the results could be all too real for everyone concerned. What a caring society we live in!
I think Jade is really horrible, what goes around comes around, we all know that except her....shame...now let's talk about her mum. When Adele came out last week Jade mum told Divina that she is looking a little rugged, hello has she looked at herself, looks like she's been around the block 100 times and that is just on Sunday.
So forget pulling the old line, poor Jade, be careful Big Brother before you know it, her family will be looking for money due to the stress, then you will be supporting, Jade, her family etc.. hope you had her sign a contact that you aren't responsible for the puplic reactions towards her....
I don't think she is being singled out, she just behaves in a manner which is so stupid and silly. I think she says and does silly/stupid things for attention and she wants to be liked and popular with the rest of the people in the house. Jade and Tim should have been either nominated or voted out this week because they are less popular than the other people in the house.
The press are taking things too far with Jade, OK, she has a big mouth and speaks or sometimes speaks her mind but her heart is in the right place. Comparing her to a pig and a baboon is really unfair, she's not the most stunning of girls but she's not the ugliest either - give her a break - she's good fun and without her in the house things would go drastically down hill. Kate is starting to show a nasty side towards Jade and I don't see any bad press about her!
Jade's behaviour is awful. She is no act! How can someone act that dense all the time. I think she deserves what she gets, how can someone be that back-stabbing to her "friends"!
I think that anyone brave enough to enter the Big Brother house should be intelligent enough to fully inderstand the intensity of public criticism that goes with the house.
Jade got on my nerves in the first 10 minutes of her being in the BB House but since then she has grown on me. I thinks that it's sweet that someone can be that naive in this day and age (a far cry from girl power). However, she is definitely playing a cunning game and is definitely NOT as dim as she makes out. My final comment has to be...Jade naked again....not whilst I'm eating please!
I think Jade has been treated very badly. The housemates knew what they were doing when they got her drunk and she stripped during a game.
i think Jade deserves the bad press that she has received, she has behaved in a disgraceful and bitchy manner. She is very two-faced, however, the housemates were stupid not to realise this sooner!
I think that Jade is just young and totally immature. I don't know anything about her background, but I should think that she has been very spoiled and not had a brilliant education and has just never grown up. She is definitely the most annoying person in the house, and could do with someone sitting her down for a chat and encouraging her to grow up a bit, but she doesn't deserve some of the meanness - such as when the others hid in the garden and then pretended that they hadn't.
Jade is the most annoying, irritating person I have ever had the misfortune to look at. She's incredibly false, I know her game, everybody feels sorry for me because I'm "thick". I am a very good judge of character and I have sussed this one out!
She may sometimes be annoying and bitchy but my heart goes out to her, she is only a kid and she just wants to be liked by all her housemates. The poor girl will never cope with what she will face if she gets evicted, I hope Big Brother provide her with enough support. I don't think she thinks that she is being two-faced, by agreeing with everyone she is just trying to get their approval.
Jade may not be the most pleasant person in the house but at least she's true to herself and doesn't change for the benefit of the camera. I think she's very vulnerable and not as thick as she makes out, she must have some sort of degree for her job surely?! How can the UK talk about cracking down on bullying and prejudice when the press are completely ruining Jade's reputation, I'm sure that the comments will hurt her deeply, imagine if that was your child?!
I think the press should take a step back from what they write because the housemates may be "guinea-pigs" for the sake of Big Brother, but they are still human and deserve respect, especially if they are still in the house because they can't defend themselves. As for The Sun, get over it, it's a TV show!! Grow up and discuss more important issues in life, how can Big Brother be the front page and a missing girl be on page four or five?!
Although she was my worst contestant by far in the early stages, I have now started to feel sorry for her. Not only do the other housemates mistreat her and think of her as a complete joke without her knowledge, but also she is quickly becoming one of the most hated people in Britain. OK, it's all right to have opinions on the housemates, for instance I don't really like Tim, but what is happening to Jade is terrible and taking things one step too far. Give poor Jade a break - remember, this is a real person and a real life the public are destroying.
