Picture gallery: Star Wars première
The UK première of Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones has taken place in London, attended by its creator George Lucas and several celebrities, as well as hundreds of fans of the sci-fi epic.
It was a big night for George Lucas (right) who was also celebrating his birthday, helped by Samuel L Jackson.
Fans pulled out all the stops to dress up as their favourite Star Wars characters.
Oscar-winner Halle Berry and her husband Eric Benet were cheered by the crowd.
Singer Jay Kay was one of a number of pop stars at the première.
Anthony Daniels, who plays the droid C3P0, was at the London première.
Former boxing champ Chris Eubank arrived with his wife.
Young Star Wars fans stage a light saber battle.
