Schiffer 'to marry' Lock Stock producer

Supermodel and actress Claudia Schiffer has set a date to marry British film producer Matthew Vaughn, a German celebrity magazine has reported.

Schiffer will tie the knot on 25 May somewhere in England, Bunte magazine reported on Wednesday.

Schiffer, 31, has been with the Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels producer for 16 months.

In a cover story entitled Finally - there is a date for the wedding, the magazine said the couple were viewing various English churches.

It said 300 prominent guests, including pop stars Madonna and Elton John, would be invited.

Vaughn, who also produced Snatch with Guy Ritchie, acted as best man for the director at his wedding to Madonna.

Bunte reported Schiffer had bought a castle between Oxford and Cambridge for £4.3m and suggested it could be the venue for the reception.

Prominent figure

Schiffer, a cover star on 550 magazines in the last 15 years, was previously engaged to magician David Copperfield for six years.

She remains a prominent figure in Germany, helping present the winning bid to host the 2006 World Cup.

The German media constantly speculate she is among the wealthiest German women of her generation, earning an estimated £35,000 per day.

Forbes magazine once put her net worth at about $55m (£38m).
