World War II Online: Your views
World War II Online
Is this the best electronic battlefield game?
Software developers Cornered Rat had plenty of problems when they launched World War II Online last summer.

The game was released too early, and was hamstrung by just about every problem and bug you could envisage.

But they have been hard at work to get rid of the bugs and gameplay problems and it has now been re-released.

"World War II Online is not perfect, but when at its best, there is no game to touch it in terms of its teamwork and satisfaction. The electronic battlefield has arrived," wrote the BBC's Damian O'Neil.

But what do you think?

Is it the best game of its type? Or is there still room for improvement?

HAVE YOUR SAY

This is so much more than a game, it's an event, a perpetual environment that never stops (except for the odd server maintenance). Yeah, there are a lot of improvements needed, but they will come, each new patch release is anticipated by the community with the kind of excitement usually reserved for a game release like Medal of Honour Allied Assault.

World War II Online in its current state is completely engrossing, addictive and phenomenal fun to take part in, with further improvement to come, it is frightening to think what this game is going to become.

I played Medal of Honour for 30 mins after purchase this weekend and just couldn't wait to get back into World War II Online. World War II Online makes everything else feel like a game, this is the real deal, the online battlefield is here.
Vince Bird, UK

This game is brilliant, unlike anything I have ever seen. We need more games like this!
