Latin singing star Enrique Iglesias has topped the UK charts for a second week with his romantic ballad Hero.

It entered the top 40 last week at number one, and has managed to stay put despite competition from singer Pink's Get the Party Started and boy band A1's Caught in the Middle.

1. Enrique Iglesias: Hero
2. Pink: Get The Party Started
3. A1 - Caught in the Middle
4. Britney Spears: Overprotected
5. Puretone: Addicted to Bass
Iglesias, son of the globally successful Julio Iglesias, also released an album last week which went into the charts at number 21, but has since risen to number two.

The album charts also saw Come With Us, the Chemical Brothers' latest dance music offering, go straight to the top spot.

Pink's Mizundaztood entered the album charts this week at number four.

Mary J Blige's latest single, Dance For Me, hit number 13, while Britney Spears rose up one place to number four with Overprotected.

George Harrison's My Sweet Lord, which topped the charts in its first week of release, is down to number eight, four places lower than last week.

Robbie Williams, Dido and Aaliyah are still doing well in the album charts, at numbers seven, eight and nine respectively.

And although it is an unusual addition to the pop charts, the soundtrack to The Lord of the Rings has spent 10 weeks in the album charts and is at number 11.
