Hurley: No need for court battle
Liz Hurley announced her pregnancy in November
Liz Hurley announced her pregnancy in November
Elizabeth Hurley does not believe she will have to pursue former boyfriend Steve Bing for child support, saying they were both "too nice" to allow it to happen.

The actress has given her first interview since splitting with Bing on American television.

Speaking frankly, she talked about her pregnancy and Bing's comments questioning the paternity of the child.

She also rubbished speculation that she was getting back together with Hugh Grant, calling it "nonsense".

The 36-year-old is expecting her baby in April and named Hollywood producer Bing as the father.

He later claimed he may not be the father because the couple were not in an "exclusive relationship" and demanded proof.

Hurley told the NBC Today show she was not interested in getting into a public slanging match with her former partner, saying it "all sort of got really silly".

'Indisputable'

She reiterated that he was the father.

"There is no question. It is indisputable," she said.

"It is certainly true that we were happy together and certainly when the baby was conceived it was in absolute happiness and we were very loyal.

"So anything else that's been said about that is nonsense."

She said she wants to avoid a court battle, adding: "It would be horrible to have to do it legal and nasty and I hope it won't come to that and I am sure it will not - we are both too nice."

Naked stomach

During the interview she promised she would not be doing any revealing photo-shoots during the final stages of her pregnancy.

"I have bought some really nice clothes to wear, and they are basically kaftans," she joked.

"I swear on everything I hold sacred, there will be no pictures of my naked stomach on the cover of a magazine."

Hurley also revealed she was going to extra lengths to avoid the harsh gaze of cameras on her forthcoming holiday.

"I am going on holiday in January and I have already bought knee-length white cotton chiffon to wear in the ocean because I do not want to be photographed in all my glory."
