![]() Ant and Dec helped the band celebrate their success
Pop group S Club 7 are celebrating after winning Record of the Year 2001.
They beat rivals Blue in a live public vote to take the title for their number one hit single Don't Stop Movin'.
S Club's single beat band Blue's single All Rise, into second place. And Kylie Minogue's hit Can't Get You Out Of My Head came in third. Saturday's live event was staged at the London Television Centre, hosted by presenters Ant and Dec. The annual event was sponsored by Britannia Music. A spokeswoman for the event organisers said: "It has been a great night and all the audience and bands have really enjoyed themselves." Robbie Williams, Geri Halliwell, Bob the Builder and Gorillaz were among the acts not to make it through to the final shortlist in a special preview show which halved the best selling list down to 10.
