Spears: Embarassed when she met Madonna
Teenage pop star Britney Spears left Madonna's five-year-old daughter Lourdes speechless when they met.

The girl was forced to hide behind her nanny when the teenager star was introduced to the daughter of, arguably, the most famous pop star in the world.

And Spears herself admits she was awestruck when, a few moments later, she met Madonna.

The teenager told Star magazine that she felt like a "dork" after meeting Madonna.

She said; "I'm usually so cool when I meet people, but once I was walking into the room I just felt something come over me and I was so nervous.

"So I walked in - I'm so embarrassed at what I said, I'm such a retard - and I said, `I feel like I should hug you'.

"Afterwards I was like, `Why did I say that?'. She probably thinks I'm the biggest dork in the world."

Lourdes accompanied Madonna to the meeting, but went silent when she saw the Baby One More Time singer.

'So sweet'

Spears explained: "Her nanny said that she normally talks a lot, but she was being really quiet and shy.

"She looked at her nanny and said, `Tell her, will you? Just tell her'.

"And the nanny was like, `Tell her what?', and she went, `Tell her that I have all the watches and all of her Barbies and stuff'.

"I thought it was so sweet - she was hiding behind her nanny the whole time."
