Peter Buckley Hill is somewhat of an Edinburgh Fringe legend. He comes to the festival every year and provides nearly 40 nights of consecutive comedy for absolutely nothing.

That's not to say that the night's entertainment is sub-standard because the quality of comics on offer every night is first-class.

Nelson is an amiable story-teller

Peter BH is the genial host of the gig and although some of his material can be hit or miss on occasion, he is always the star of the show.

Peter is a part-time college lecturer in London but even at the ripe old age of 50 he retains his enthusiasm for making people laugh.

Sandy Nelson, a Glasweigan comedian/musician entertained a packed house on Sunday with a mixture of pastiches of popular songs including his mickey-takes of Ocean Colour Scene, Cornershop and Oasis.

Buckley Hill is always the star of the show

Without the guitar, Nelson is still an amiable story-teller and his claim to fame(true) was he was killed within the first few minutes of the film Braveheart.

The great thing about Peter BH's show is you never know what you're going to get. One night you might get a mixture of established comics and would-be stars.

On another evening you can really get the flavour of some of the best local acts of the fringe.

Get along and see this show, as Peter says himself, "for absolutely no money it's the best value at the entire Festival".
