The best things in life are free ![]() Show : Peter Buckley Hill and Some Comedians Venue : Footlights and Firkin, August 8-31
That's not to say that the night's entertainment is sub-standard because the quality of comics on offer every night is first-class.
Peter is a part-time college lecturer in London but even at the ripe old age of 50 he retains his enthusiasm for making people laugh. Sandy Nelson, a Glasweigan comedian/musician entertained a packed house on Sunday with a mixture of pastiches of popular songs including his mickey-takes of Ocean Colour Scene, Cornershop and Oasis.
The great thing about Peter BH's show is you never know what you're going to get. One night you might get a mixture of established comics and would-be stars. On another evening you can really get the flavour of some of the best local acts of the fringe.
Get along and see this show, as Peter says himself, "for absolutely no money it's the best value at the entire Festival". |
