Posh's Geri 'drowning' jibe
Victoria and David Beckham
Victoria married footballer David in 1999
Posh Spice Victoria Beckham has hit out at former bandmate Geri Halliwell and her husband's manager Sir Alex Ferguson during an interview with Jerry Springer.

According to the Mirror, when asked which of the two she would save from drowning, she answered "neither".

She apparently told Springer: "I'd just sail off and watch them both drown."

But she added immediately that she would probably end up regretting her comments and gave another answer.

The Spice Girls singer was talking on Channel 5's Late Night With Jerry Springer show when she made the comments.

Beckham has not made any secret of her strained relationship with husband David's Manchester United manager Sir Alex.

A row between her and Sir Alex allegedly broke out last year after her husband was dropped from the team.

And there has been no love lost between her and Halliwell since Ginger Spice quit the group in 1998.

It is not yet known whether her original comments will be broadcast on the 24 August show.

During the interview she also told how her two-year-old son Brooklyn has amassed at least 20 pairs of shoes.

She also revealed to Springer that despite her celebrity lifestyle she had recently travelled on a bus with Brooklyn.

"I took Brooklyn from one meeting to another on a bus in five-inch stilettos and a mini skirt," she is quoted as saying in the Mirror, adding: "I stood. You've got to stand on a bus."

The singer also admitted she never reads books. Her own autobiography, Learning to Fly, comes out in September.
