Puffy sued over child support
Sean 'Puffy' Combs
Combs: Cleared of gun possession and bribery charges
The ex-girlfriend of rap star Sean "Puffy" Combs has asked a court to declare him the father of her three-year-old son so she can claim more child support money.

Model Kim Porter, who was with Combs for three years, says he admits he is the father of Christian Casey Combs.

But the Manhattan Family Court must acknowledge the parentage for Ms Porter to be able to claim the maximum amount of child support money allowable by law.

She wants the full 17% of Combs' adjusted gross income - plus money for medical and school fees, a nanny and summer camp.

The lawsuit was filed with the court last week, Ms Porter's lawyer, Suzanne Kimberly Bracker, said.

In March, Ms Porter announced her intention to sue her former lover because he refused to give her a set monthly amount of child support money.

Combs has reacted by saying he is "insulted", and that he thought the matter was resolved.

Trial

"[He] is appalled by Ms. Porter's lawyer's underhanded tactics," Combs' spokeswoman Nathalie Moar said.

In March, Combs was cleared of five charges of gun possession and bribery relating to a New York nightclub shooting.

The couple met in 1993 when they both worked for Uptown Records.

They moved in together five years later, but split up in 1999.

Combs then started dating actress and singer Jennifer Lopez - but the relationship ended earlier this year during Combs' trial.

He has another child, six-year-old Justin, by hip-hop fashion stylist Misa Hylton-Brim.

Through his rap career, fashion range and record label, Combs is said to be worth at least $US100m (£71m).
