First kiss for Big Brother 2
The Big Brother ten
Game show?: Contestants spend their nights together
Big Brother fans will witness the first on-screen kiss during the second series of the game show.

The 10 contestants - Amma, Brian, Bubble, Dean, Elizabeth, Helen, Narinder, Penny, Paul and Stuart - have been together for just two nights in the camera-filled house in east London, where they will spend the next nine weeks.

But passion started to smoulder, as Paul and Penny, a 33-year-old English teacher, took their turn tending a fire in the garden - the first task to be assigned to the contestants.

Paul, 24, leapt into Penny's lap and when she told him he was sexy she kissed him.

Meanwhile, Bookmakers have slashed the odds on Bubble winning the whole show after a series of bets backing him to win the 70,000 first prize.

They reduced the odds on the warehouse worker from 12-1 to 8-1 after taking several hundred bets on him to survive the nine-week challenge.

But the 24-year-old from Surrey also features among the favourites to be the first contestant to be evicted from the house.

A spokesman from the bookmaker Coral said: "Bubble seems like quite a character, quite a likeable loud-mouth."

The bookies current favourites to win are Helen, Dean and Paul, all on odds of 5-1.

Last summer Big Brother established itself as a TV phenomenon.

The antics of "Nasty" Nick Bateman, who was evicted from the house for cheating, Craig, Anna, Tom, Andrew, Nichola, Caroline, Darren, Mel, Claire and Sada made the front pages of the tabloids who battled to be the first to Big Brother exclusives.
