Stone 'stalker' hearing dropped
Stone shares her LA home with husband Phil Bronstein
Actress Sharon Stone has withdrawn a request for a permanent restraining order against an alleged stalker.
A temporary order had been issued against Agostino P'Omato after he turned up at the actress's home in Los Angeles. He said he had travelled from Italy to ask her to marry him, according to court documents. The original order prevented him going within 100 yards of the Basic Instinct star. A hearing for a permanent restraining order was cancelled after it was discovered P'Omato's family had taken him back to Italy. Stone's lawyer Robert Chapman confirmed the case was not continuing. Mental hospital Documents submitted at the first hearing detailed the first time P'Omato, 32, turned up at the 43-year-old actress's home on 19 March. She shares the house with her husband, journalist Phil Bronstein, and their young son Roan. P'Omato allegedly told an employee of Stone that he had "come all the way from Italy to marry her". Police were called and took him to a mental health hospital.
