Zeta Jones bans Hello! pics
Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas
The couple asked for cash gifts
Newly-wed stars Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas have reportedly acted to withdraw this week's edition of Hello! after it published unauthorised photos of their wedding.

The couple sold the rights to the photos of their wedding, held on Saturday in New York, to Hello's rival OK! for about £1m.

But on Monday, Hello! published some photos of its own.

OK! and the couple applied for a High Court injunction, say reports, but could not stop 16,000 copies of Hello! going on sale with the photos.

About 740,000 copies including the photos have now been withdrawn.

The couple had released to selected outlets a single photograph of themselves at the ceremony, with Zeta Jones wearing an ivory satin gown and lace train.

Stars turned out in force for the ceremony, including actress Goldie Hawn and Zeta Jones' ex-lover, Simply Red star Mick Hucknall, singer Art Garfunkel and United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan.

Guests were asked not to give presents but to donate money instead to a fund set up for their baby.

The couple, who share the same 25 September birthday, met at a film festival in France in August 1998.

Douglas' infamous chat-up line that first night was: "I want to be the father of your children."

They began dating in March 1999 and, after much speculation, got engaged last New Year's Eve.

Meanwhile a leading psychologist has suggested that celebrities who sell their stories to glossy magazines could have a "mental disorder".

Psychologist Oliver James said the lure of money was not the main reason for the deals.

"They need the sense of validation... and they want everybody else to know just how important they are," he tells ITV's Tonight with Trevor McDonald, to be screened on Wednesday.
