(Close): Europe's leading stock markets had put the worst of their fears over Dubai World's ability to pay its debts behind them by Tuesday's close.

Frankfurt's Dax finished 2.68% higher. K&S, the agricultural chemicals company, finished with the biggest gain. Its shares closed up 6.63%.

Consumer products group Henkel also rose sharply, ending up 5.1%.

German truckmaker, Man, saw its shares finish 4.4% lower amid talk it may be pressured to make a bid for Scania.
