Police have used water cannon against a crowd of around 100 protesters in Davos where the World Economic Forum is taking place.

Demonstrators tried to bring down a fence surrounding the venue hosting the meeting and threw snowballs at riot police.

The protest was organised by anti-capitalist groups, the local Green Party and socialist movement.
