Rescue plan bolsters the euro

Stock markets around the world rose after European finance ministers approved a massive financial rescue plan designed to prop up the Euro, and prevent the economic crisis in Greece from spreading.

The measures bolstered the euro, which rose sharply against the dollar and the pound.
