Car giants agree three-way tie-up

The French carmaker Renault and its Japanese partner Nissan have announced plans for wide-ranging cooperation with Daimler, the German owner of Mercedes-Benz.

The three companies have made the agreement in order to work together on developing new models of engines and small cars.
