Toyota chief apologises to US Congress for faults

Toyota chief Akio Toyoda has apologised for his company's confusion over its priorities, saying they "pursued growth" ahead of safety and quality.

He spoke before being grilled for several hours by a US Congressional hearing into the faults that have lead to the recall of millions of the firm's vehicles.
