Bharti Airtel, India's largest mobile phone company, has reported a slight rise in quarterly profits. The announcement has come amid a price war that analysts say could turn the country's telecom boom into a financial bust.

Net profit reported by the company for the 2009 December quarter rose 2% compared to the same period a year before.
