The economic downturn has hit China Mobile

The world's biggest mobile operator, China Mobile, has said its business has returned to levels seen before the global downturn.

The firm saw a drop in its international business, but overall trading is now back to normal levels, chairman Wang Jianzhou told reporters.

He added that migrant workers, who had left big cities during the downturn, were now returning, driving up traffic.

China Mobile had 493 million users at the end of June.
