'Tax big banks' say Lib Dems

The big banks should be forced to pay a temporary tax amounting to 10 percent of their profits, the Liberal Democrats have said.

The suggestion has been put forward by the party's Treasury spokesman Vince Cable, who claims that up to £2bn could be recouped in that way.
