Leaders from the 21 countries which make up the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation forum are gathering in Singapore for their annual summit.

How best to steer the global economy to recovery, free trade and regional security are the focus of this year's meeting.

The Presidents of both the US and China are among the delegates, and there has been growing debate about the relative influences of the two powers in the region.

The BBC's Southeast Asia correspondent, Rachel Harvey, spoke to the host of this year's summit, the Singaporean prime minister, Lee Hsien Loong and asked him how he viewed the developing rivalry.
