Rise in UK jobless slowing

UK unemployment figures have risen to 2.46 million.

This means another 30,000 people lost their jobs between the months of July and September 2009 - although the increase is the smallest rise in 18 months.

Youth unemployment has risen to a record high of nearly 20%.

Hugh Pym reports.
