Airlines look to fees for profits

British Airways is to charge passengers a fee to reserve seats more than 24 hours in advance.

The move is the latest in a growing trend to charge airline passengers additional fees, with airlines desperate to raise revenue in the worst slump since the terrorist attacks on 11 September 2001.
