National track operator Network Rail has unveiled plans for a new high-speed railway link.

The government has said it will look at the proposals which would aim to link Glasgow and London in two hours and 16 minutes.

However, if the plan is given the go-ahead, the £34bn ($55bn) high-speed line would not be in place until 2030. Richard Scott reports.
