Cathay Pacific reports first-half profit

One of Asia's biggest airlines, Cathay Pacific, has reported a profit for the first half of the year, helped by bets it placed on the oil price. It compares with a loss of $7.6bn for similar bets last year.

Cathay Pacific earned $812m Hong Kong dollars ($105m US dollars), for the first six months ending in June.
