Smaller losses good news for Toyota


Toyota overtook General Motors in 2008 to become the world's biggest car company, before falling victim to the global recession and making its first ever annual loss.

But Toyota may be the latest corporate giant to show signs that things are improving, with quarterly results showing smaller than expected losses, and the company raising its sales forecasts.
