Bank chief explains recession-beating plan

More than £100bn pounds has been injected into the economy by the Bank of England over the past few months to try to blunt the impact of the recession.

The deputy governor of the Bank of England is visiting different parts of the UK to find out if the extra money has brought visible benefits.
