General Motors out of bankruptcy

The American car-maker General Motors has emerged from bankruptcy as a much smaller, concentrated business which is largely state-owned.

The end of the 40 day bankruptcy came after a deal was struck with the US government.

Chief Executive Fritz Henderson said if they "don't get this right, nothing else is going to work".
