Bankruptcy in over-65s 'triples'

The number of pensioners filing for bankruptcy has almost tripled in the past five years, according to research based on Insolvency Service figures.

In England and Wales in 2004, just over a thousand people aged over-65 said they were insolvent. This year, some 2,595 have done so.
