Bernard Madoff to be sentenced

The disgraced financier, Bernard Madoff, will be sentenced in New York on Monday for an investment scam that wiped out the savings of thousands of people.

In March, Bernard Madoff pleaded guilty to eleven counts, including fraud, theft and money laundering, which together carry a maximum jail term of 150 years.
