Unions defiant over Total sackings

Workers who had participated in unofficial strike action have been told they have until Monday to reapply for their jobs.

The government has condemned French oil company Total over its handling of the dispute after it sacked more than 600 workers from the Lindsay refinery in Lincolnshire.
