GM set for record bankruptcy

General Motors is on the verge of the world's largest ever industrial bankruptcy.

The company declared losses of more than $30bn (£18bn) in 2008 and is preparing for court proceedings on Monday over the future of the company.

In the UK, the future of GM Europe's Vauxhall plants is still uncertain.
