BT chief explains job losses

BT has said it will cut about 15,000 jobs this year, mostly in the UK, and has reported an annual loss of £134m.

Chief Executive Ian Livingston has said BT is trying to protect permanent employees and that temporary workers may be redeployed in other parts of the agency.
