Regional airline Flybe is offering free insurance to its customers, allowing them to claim a full refund on their travel costs if they lose their jobs.
The insurance is being offered to passengers who book flights, car hire and hotels in January, and are due to travel before 24 October.
It is available to anyone who has been in continuous work with the same employer for at least two years.
Flybe said it was responding to people's continuing economic pressures.
"These are unprecedented times and Flybe wants to do our bit to keep the economy moving," said Mike Rutter, chief commercial officer at Flybe.
"Consumers can book with us in January secure in the knowledge that if they lose their job before they travel, Flybe will give them a full refund."
Based in Exeter, Flybe operates flights from 11 UK airports, and also flies from Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man.
It flies more than 150 routes and carried seven million passengers in 2007.
