Banks urged to support small business

Small companies are being starved of credit because traditional lending by banks has dried up due to the financial crisis.

Announcing up to £4bn of European funding, Chancellor Alistair Darling said it was in the interest of banks to support business customers in difficult as well as good times. Robert Peston reports.
